Artistic Expressions supports creative art programs for adults who have a physical disability and/or acquired brain injury. We believe that all persons have an inherent desire to express themselves creatively.
Since our incorporation in 2003, we have grown from sponsoring 12 artists a semester on one site to sponsoring 42 artists on two sites.
We provide a creative open concept class where artists can explore a variety of mediums supported by qualified instructors.
Artists are supported in a respectful space where they are encouraged to explore individually chosen projects.
We support artist driven goals and help facilitate their development, exhibition and sale of artwork.
Possible mediums for exploration are: fibre arts, painting & drawing, hand building & pottery, glass, print making, ceramics, collage, mixed media sculpture and jewellery. Although both sites support most mediums, please see "Class Information" for site limitations.
Artists who require significant help in class or help with eating, drinking, medications, or toileting must provide their own assistants.
Please explore our site for more detailed information on classes and sites.
Contact us if you have any questions. We can be reached by voicemail and email.
We look forward to having you join our program.
